Nothing Phone (3) Officially Confirmed to Use Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Chip, Launching July 1
With just weeks to go before its global debut, Nothing has officially confirmed that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset will power the upcoming Phone (3).
This confirmation comes via the latest episode of Nothing TV on YouTube, where CEO Carl Pei shared new insights into the company's hardware roadmap and software direction.

Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Now Official
According to the company, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 will be the most advanced processor ever used in a Nothing smartphone. This move signals a clear performance step up for the brand, which has previously focused more on design and software experience than on raw hardware specs.
Carl Pei emphasized that Nothing's engineering team has worked closely with Qualcomm to optimize performance, especially as the brand moves toward deeper integration with its AI-powered software features, such as the new Essential Space.
A Broader Product Vision
In the same video, Pei discussed Nothing's growing ambitions beyond smartphones. The company's first over-ear audio product, Headphone (1), will launch alongside Phone (3). Both devices are scheduled to be unveiled at a global launch event in London on July 1, a date that had already been confirmed earlier by the company.
The Nothing TV episode also touches on research and development efforts and the evolving role of software in shaping the brand's ecosystem.
