Nothing Phone (4b) Design Revealed: Dual Cameras, Transparent Back, and the Glyph Bar Is Back

Nothing has dropped the first official look at the Phone (4b) ahead of its July 7 India launch. The design reveal confirms a few things fans were expecting, and clears up at least one thing that was unclear until now.

Nothing Phone (4b) Design Revealed: Dual Cameras, Transparent Back

What the Phone (4b) Looks Like

The rear panel is split into two distinct sections. The upper half has Nothing's signature transparent treatment, showing the internals through a see-through panel. You can make out the textured inner layer, antenna lines, and the Glyph Bar lighting strip sitting underneath, with a small red accent visible too. It's a dual camera setup sitting inside that transparent island, not a single lens as some earlier teasers suggested.

The lower half drops the transparency completely and goes for a clean matte finish. It's a deliberate contrast, busy and detailed up top, simple at the bottom. The frame running around the edges is silver, and Nothing's branding is minimal, just a small logo near the bottom of the rear panel.

The official render shows the Phone (4b) in a steel blue colourway. It's not loud or overly saturated, just a clean, considered shade of blue. Leaks suggest black and white variants are also in the works, though Nothing hasn't confirmed those yet. The front design is still under wraps.

The Glyph Bar

The Phone (4b) carries the Glyph Bar, the slimmer lighting strip that Nothing introduced on the Phone (4a), rather than the larger Glyph Interface from older Nothing phones. It sits in the transparent section of the rear panel, visible through the see-through layer. Nothing hasn't shared exactly how it functions on the 4b yet, but it's expected to work similarly to how it did on the 4a.

Build and Target Audience

Nothing is positioning the Phone (4b) at a younger audience. The company is talking up the unibody construction, improved structural strength, and a skin-friendly finish that's meant to feel more comfortable in hand. It takes design cues from both the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro without being a straight copy of either.

Specs So Far

Nothing hasn't officially confirmed the specs yet. A Geekbench listing points to a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset with 8GB of RAM running Android 16. The benchmark scores came in at 1,088 in single-core and 3,155 in multi-core, which puts it firmly in premium mid-range territory.

Price in India and Launch Date

The Phone (4b) launches in India on July 7 at 3:30 PM. Pricing hasn't been announced yet, but since the Phone (4a) starts at Rs 37,999, the 4b is expected to come in lower, somewhere around Rs 30,000.
