Nothing Phone and Accessory Teased with Pokémon Codenames Blastoise And Jumpluff: What to Expect

Nothing has officially released two new Pokémon-themed teasers in its signature dot-matrix style. This classic marketing tactic suggests that the London-based technology brand is preparing new hardware. Fans of the brand are already decoding what these characters could represent.

The teasers feature the pocket monsters Blastoise and Jumpluff. Nothing traditionally uses iconic Pokémon as codenames for its upcoming devices before a launch. For instance, previous smartphones like Phone (2a) used the codename Aerodactyl. Now, the community is speculating on what these new characters hint at.

Nothing Teases Mysterious New Pokémon Codenames

What Blastoise Teases for Nothing India

Blastoise is a powerful water-type Pokémon known for its robust and heavily armoured shell. This specific teaser was shared by both the global and Indian accounts of Nothing. Consequently, this strongly suggests that the resulting product will launch in the Indian market. The character's tough nature indicates a durable and liquid-resistant Nothing smartphone.

In Nothing's history, larger and stronger Pokémon typically represent new smartphones. A robust device with improved water resistance would fit the tank-like persona of Blastoise. Industry speculation points toward an upcoming mid-range or rugged Nothing smartphone. This would expand their competitive footprint in India's highly active device market.

The Airy Jumpluff and Other Rumoured Devices

On the other hand, the global account alone shared a pixelated image of Jumpluff. Jumpluff is a lightweight, flying-type Pokémon that represents weightlessness and agility. This airy theme points directly toward a new pair of lightweight earbuds. Speculation suggests this could be the Nothing Ear (3a), featuring active noise cancellation.

The rumoured earbuds recently appeared in an Indonesian SDPPI certification database. This compliance filing hints at a launch in the very near future. While some fans hope for new CMF-branded products, those are less likely. CMF now operates as a standalone brand and posts its own teasers.

We expect Nothing to reveal official hardware details and launch timelines in the coming weeks. These Pokémon teasers usually precede an official launch event by about a month. Indian consumer tech enthusiasts should prepare themselves for official confirmations very soon. The brand continues to build high hype through these creative and interactive social announcements.
