This festive season, along with many smartphone brands in the market, Gionee India is also aiming to give something to the consumers and its fans. Well, the company has now announced a special discount of Rs. 3,000 on its flagship device, A1.

Gionee A1 (Review) was launched at an original price of Rs. 19,999. However, after the discount, the smartphone can now be purchased at Rs. 16,999. In addition, there is also a bundled data offer, from Reliance Jio for the buyers.
Basically, consumers who activate the Gionee A1 on the Jio network for the first time with a recharge of Rs. 309 or above will be entitled to get additional 60GB Jio 4G data. As per the company, each customer will get this additional data benefit on six recharges of Rs. 309 or above.

Tracing back the past days, Gionee A1 was actually unveiled at MWC 2017. And during the launch, the company had said that A1's main USP includes a big battery, and, superior selfie photo quality.

Thus, let us recall some of the key features and specifications of this device. Gionee A1 comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) SoC. The Gionee A1 offers 4GB of RAM and packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.

As far as the cameras are concerned, Gionee A1 is equipped with a 16-megapixel front-facing fixed focus camera with a f/2.0 aperture, a 1/3.06-inch sensor, a 5P lens, and a flash. At the rear, there is a 13-megapixel primary camera with 1/3.06-inch Sony IMX258 sensor and dual-LED flash.

The Gionee A1 runs on Amigo 4.0 based on Android 7.0 and is powered by a 4010mAh nonremovable battery. It measures 154.50 x 76.50 x 8.30 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 183.00 grams.

The Gionee A1 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Micro-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.

The Gionee A1 comes in Black, Gold, and Grey colour variants.
