Nubia phone manages to score higher than Galaxy S9+ on AnTuTu
At the moment, there is no information on the phone's availability, but MWC 2018 launch is unlikely.
ZTE's sub-brand Nubia has not launched any smartphones in 2018 yet. However, the company maybe secretly working on a flagship smartphone that will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor. The news comes from Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo where the AnTuTu benchmarking listing of the phone is shown. Not only just the processor part, the Weibo post has revealed some of the key specs of the device.

Carrying the model number Nubia NX606J, the smartphone is tipped to be company's next flagship, the Z18. According to the AnTuTu listing, the handset will pack 6GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. We are not sure why the phone has less native storage capacity. Presumably, there should be another variant of the smartphone with more storage space and 8GB of RAM.
The Nubia NX606J is also listed with Android 8.0 Oreo operating system which is likely to come with Nubia's custom UI. Finally, the AnTuTu benchmark reveals the smartphone will feature a full-screen design with a Full HD+ display carrying a screen resolution of 2,160×1,080 pixels.
The Nubia NX606J has achieved a score of 271,674 points on AnTuTu. Notably, the score is a tad higher than the Samsung Galaxy S9+'s score of 265,257. At the moment, there is no information on the phone's availability, but MWC 2018 launch is unlikely.
Earlier this month, at a gaming event in Shenzhen, Nubia's CEO, Ni Fei apparently confirmed that the company is planning to develop a gaming phone. Speculations suggest that the upcoming Nubia Z18 flagship will probably be "the gaming smartphone" from the company. Further, it has been said that the smartphone is most likely to be built to handle hardcore games.

So it is quite possible that the Nubia NX606J is the same phone. Even the specs listed on AnTuTu are in line with previous leaks and rumors. Besides of having flagship-level specs, it will be interesting to see the smartphone focusing on gaming. In fact, being a dedicated smartphone for gaming, it could have an edge over its rivals.
