ZTE's sub-brand Nubia today announced the launch of its new mid-range smartphone. Dubbed as Z18 mini, it comes in color options like Black, White, Blue and Pink. The smartphone is available in two variants.
The basic one with 6GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage is priced at 1,799 Yuan (approx. Rs. 18,650), whereas the higher version with 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage is priced at 2,099 Yuan (approx. Rs. 21,760). The Nubia Z18 mini also has a Limited Provence Edition which is priced at 2,199 Yuan (approx. Rs. 22,800). The smartphone is up for pre-order in China and it will go on sale from April 19.
Talking about the specifications, the V18 mini sports a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display with the aspect ratio of 18:9. The display is covered by a 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. As stated earlier, the handset offers 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage depending on the variant.
In terms of optics, the Nubia Z18 mini flaunts a horizontally stacked dual rear camera setup that comprises of a 24MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and PDDF + CAF hybrid focus, dual-tone LED flash, and a 5MP secondary sensor for capturing images in Bokeh effect.
At the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera with face unlock feature that can scan up to 106 facial points and lights up the screen when users lift up the device. The front camera comes with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12um pixel size, and 80-degree wide-angle lens.
The Z18 mini runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with custom nubia UI on top, This dual-SIM smartphone is backed by a 3,450mAh battery. Connectivity features onboard include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Additionally, the Nubia Z18 mini has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. When it comes to design, the smartphone looks sleek. Owing to its 18:9 display, the bezels are minimal. The handset has a metal unibody that is made of Aluminum. Interestingly, the smartphone has a dedicated voice button.
