Nubia Z50 Ultra Announced: Check Specs, Price, And Availability Of Premium Android Smartphone

Xiaomi, Samsung, Realme, and several other smartphone manufacturers recently launched their flagship Android smartphones. Now, Nubia has announced Nubia Z50 Ultra.

The Nubia Z50 Ultra is a flagship Android phone with an invisible, under-display camera, 6.8-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and much more. Here's everything you need to know about the premium Android smartphone from Nubia.

Nubia Z50 Ultra Specifications, Features

The Nubia Z50 Ultra is a no-compromise, premium Android smartphone with top-end hardware and specifications. The Z50 Ultra sits above the Nubia Z50 which launched in December 2022.

The Nubia Z50 Ultra features a 6.8-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 2480 × 1116 pixels resolution. The 1080p flexible curved screen has a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, 960Hz touch sampling rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 10-bit color depth, and a peak brightness of 1500 nits.

The Z50 Ultra is powered by a 4nm, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, paired with Adreno 740 GPU. The smartphone will be available with 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM. Buyers can choose between 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of ultra-fast UFS 4.0 storage.

The Nubia Z50 Ultra has a triple camera setup on the back, comprising a 64MP primary camera with a Sony IMX787 sensor, 35mm lens, f/1.6 aperture, and OIS. There's a 50MP 116° ultra-wide-angle camera with Samsung JN1 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 2cm macro, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OmniVision OV64B sensor. The rear camera setup can record video in 8K resolution.

There's a 16MP under-display front-facing camera with OmniVision OV16E1Q sensor, f/2.0 aperture. Incidentally, the screen not only hides the front-facing camera, but it also hides an under-display fingerprint scanner.

The Nubia Z50 Ultra has a 5000mAh battery, which supports 80W wired fast charging via a USB-C port that also delivers audio. Nubia claims it has embedded a 4212 sq. mm VC cooling and brand-new VC segmented bionic design, which, the brand assures, improves the heat equalization effect by 4 times.

The Nubia smartphone runs Android 13 with a custom layer of MyOS 13. Some of the notable features and connectivity options of the Z50 Ultra include Dual smart PA, Stereo dual speakers, DTS: X Ultra, 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/GLONASS.

Nubia Z50 Ultra Price, Availability

The Nubia Z50 Ultra has been announced. It will launch in China on March 14, 2023, and go on sale on the same date. The Nubia smartphone will be available in Black and Silver color options, with a unique "Starry Sky" collection.

While all the variants have an AG glass back, a Starlight AG glass model has nanoscale photolithographic texture, combined with 3D star diamond technology, to reproduce the strokes of famous oil paintings.

The Nubia Z50 Ultra starts at 3999 Yuan (approx. $577 / ₹47,240) for the model with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The top-end variant Nubia Z50 Ultra with 16GB RAM and 1TB of internal storage is priced at 5999 Yuan (approx. $865 / ₹70,845). The special edition 12GB + 512GB model from the Starry Sky Collection is priced at 4,999 Yuan (approx. $721 / ₹59,040). Nubia hasn't confirmed the international launch of the Z50 Ultra.
