Interestingly, though Xiaomi has partnered with Microsoft in the past to develop Windows 10 ROM for a few of its device. In fact the predecessor of the Xiaomi M5, namely the Mi4 has a Windows 10 version. Xiaomi had apparently signed an agreement with Microsoft to provide the Technical Preview of the ROM to their highly successful smartphone. Off late Xiaomi launched a Windows 10 variant of the Mi Pad 2 in China.
Apart from the OS though, everything is quite identical between two variants of the Xiaomi Mi5. If the rumours turn out to be the Windows 10 variant of the Xiaomi Mi5 can be expected to be showcased at the event in MWC.
