On the heels of launching the OnePlus 2 via the world's first virtual reality keynote, the excitement around OnePlus has continued to build to a crescendo with over one million users now registered for an invite to purchase the device - all in less than 72 hours.
In comparison, the original OnePlus device has sold over 1.5 million units to date, an extraordinary testament to the growth of the brand since its founding December 2013.
OnePlus will be giving fans across the globe an opportunity to physically experience the OnePlus 2 at pop-up events in New York, San Francisco, London, Paris, Berlin, Milan, New Delhi, Bangalore, and Jakarta on July 31.
Team members from OnePlus will be on hand to demo the OnePlus 2 to fans in person; those users will have an opportunity to receive invites and other exclusive gifts.
OnePlus 2 - Key Specifications
The phone boasts a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by the Snapdragon 810 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. It will be available in a 16GB variant and a 64GB version.
As for camera, the OnePlus 2 flaunts a 13MP rear camera with 1.3microns lens for better imaging even in low lighting conditions, Optical Image Stabilization technology, f2.0 aperture and 4K video recording capabilities. It is coupled with dual-LED flash and has a laser autofocus feature. Up front, you get a 5MP front-facing camera.
Talking of software, the phone runs on Android Lollipop with Oxygen OS skinned on top. Other features include of a 3,300mAh battery.
Connectivity options in the phone include of dual 4G SIMs, a USB Type-C port, which the company had revealed already, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
