OnePlus 11 Concept Unveiled: A Gamer's Dream Phone with Liquid Cooling Technology
MWC is brimming with new smartphones. Now OnePlus has unveiled its concept smartphone, the OnePlus 11 Concept. This new smartphone boasts a PC-like liquid cooling system and a transparent design. This device could become the dream phone of gamers if it's ever shipped.
OnePlus 11 Has Active CryoFlux Cooling System
OnePlus' latest concept smartphone focuses on improving performance by incorporating liquid cooling technology. The company accomplished this by using a cooling liquid from its "Active CryoFlux" cooling technology and pumping it through two "industrial-grade piezoelectric ceramic micropumps" fitted around the camera region.

The micropump occupies less than 0.2cm of space, allowing liquid to circulate around the pipelines without significantly increasing the phone's weight or thickness.
The tech absorbs the heat generated by the chipset and dissipates it through the cold liquid flowing through the blue pipelines visible on the device's back.
The blue pipelines appear futuristic and beautiful but serve a purpose beyond their appearance. Because these pipelines aid in heat dissipation, the liquid cooling technology reduces temperatures by up to 2.1 degrees Celsius, increasing the frame rate by 3-4 FPS during gameplay.
This technology also keeps the phone cooler while charging, lowering the temperature by up to 1.6 degrees Celsius and shaving 30-45 seconds off the charging time.
The company claims you can get improved performance and faster charging speeds without relying on external hardware, such as a physical cooling fan used by the likes of Nubia or an external accessory from Asus.

The 11 Concept has a glass unibody with a transparent rear cover that reveals the cooling liquid circulating through the blue pipelines. The Active CryoFlux liquid also flows around the device's circular ring. Around the lens, you can see Guilloché etching, a decorative technique that engraves an intricate and repetitive pattern.
Unfortunately, OnePlus didn't showcase any real-world performance tests to back its claims, so we have no option other than to rely on the company’s words.
Will the OnePlus 11 Concept Make It to Market?
The OnePlus 11 Concept, as its name suggests, is a concept device and will not be sold. Concept devices provide a glimpse into what companies can offer with newer technologies.
If the company makes bold claims about performance improvements and charging speeds, we hope it doesn't lock this technology away and instead uses it in its upcoming smartphones.
OnePlus did not provide any information about the 11 Concept's hardware. However, since the 11 Concept is based on the standard OnePlus 11, we may have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage, with OxygenOS 13 running the show.
