OnePlus 12 5G Camera, Display Specs Teased: Oppo announces HyperTone Camera Systems

OnePlus is gearing up to unveil a new flagship smartphone in China soon. While the Chinese smartphone maker is yet to provide an official OnePlus 12 5G launch date, the company recently took to Weibo to tease key details about the device.

OnePlus uploaded camera samples shot on the OnePlus 12 5G to Weibo, while also revealing details about the handset's camera specifications and display.

OnePlus 12 5G: What we know so far!

The company recently confirmed that the OnePlus 12 5G would use a Sony LYT-808 sensor for the main camera. The main camera will be accompanied by a new 64 MP telephoto-periscope shooter with a large 1/2.0-inch sensor size.

The lens on the new telephoto shooter incorporates a cutting-edge process to improve the camera's performance. It will also allow it to reach further than the standard 3x optical zoom. The camera system on the OnePlus 12 5G will also be fine-tuned by Hasselblad.

Additionally, the OnePlus 12 5G will also feature a 2K ProXDR display. OnePlus recently revealed key details about the display on its upcoming flagship at a recent event in collaboration with Oppo and BOE.

Oppo also recently held an event with Hasselblad to announce a new joint venture to develop the next generation of HyperTone Camera Systems. The partnership will also extend to future OnePlus smartphones.

HyperTone is set to make its debut on the Oppo Find X7 series. Oppo and Hasselblad express their optimism that HyperTone will usher in a revolutionary era in computational photography.
