OnePlus 12 5G Launch Date Confirmed for December 4: OnePlus Ace 3 could Tag Along

After several leaks and teasers, the OnePlus 12 5G has got an official launch date in China. The OnePlus 12 5G succeeds last year's OnePlus 11 5G and will debut as the company's first smartphone to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

While the OnePlus 12 5G will be the primary focus of the launch event, rumors suggest the company could also unveil the OnePlus Ace 3 5G at the event. The OnePlus Ace 3 is expected to debut as the OnePlus 12R globally.

OnePlus 12 5G Launch Date

The OnePlus 12 5G launch date in China is set for December 4. The launch of the OnePlus 12 5G also coincides with the 10th anniversary of the company.

The OnePlus 12 launch event will start from 07:00 pm local time or 04:30 pm IST on December 4, 2023. We believe that the OnePlus 12 5G launch date in India and globally will take place sometime in the first quarter of 2023.

OnePlus 12 5G Specifications

As mentioned before, the OnePlus 12 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The chip will be paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The OnePlus 12 5G is also expected to pack a 5,000 mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging support and 50W wireless fast charging support. The OnePlus 12 5G will run on Android 14.

The OnePlus 12 5G will also feature a 2K AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The X1 display used on the upcoming OnePlus flagship is the first 2K panel to secure a DisplayMate A+ rating and has also broken 18 DisplayMate A+ records in the process.

The camera setup on the back will be fine-tuned in collaboration with Hasselblad. The OnePlus 12 5G will feature a triple-rear camera setup on the back with a 50 MP Sony IMX966 primary sensor with a 1/1.4-inch sensor size, OIS support and an f/1.7 aperture.
