However, OnePlus is readying a new version of its premium mid-range smartphone for those looking for something edgier. The Chinese smartphone maker recently confirmed the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition launch in India.

According to an official post on X (formerly Twitter), the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition India launch will take place on February 28. OnePlus has also set up a microsite for its upcoming limited-edition smartphone.

The teaser video showcases the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition in an Electro Violet color. The company says, "OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition - Lightning-inspired craftsmanship with a unique Electro Violet color."

The phone will use a first of its kind electro-etching process and is styled after Keqing, a playable Electro character in Genshin Impact. This limited-edition OnePlus 12R will also come in a bespoke gift box with collectible merchandise.

OnePlus 12R Specifications

The OnePlus 12R is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with the Adreno 740 GPU. The phone is equipped with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The handset runs Android 14-based OxygenOS 14, with OnePlus promising three years of OS updates and four years of regular security updates.

The OnePlus 12R opts for a triple-camera setup that includes a 50 MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS support. The main camera is accompanied by an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro unit. Up front, the OnePlus 12R's hole-punch cutout houses a 16 MP selfie camera.

The OnePlus 12R sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K Curved LTPO OLED display with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and HDR support. The panel boasts an adaptive 120Hz (1Hz - 120Hz) refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. It also packs a massive 5,500 mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging support.

The OnePlus 12R features Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the front, while the phone has a glass back panel and an aluminum frame. Connectivity options on the device include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 7, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, and more.
