Breakdown of the List
While the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC took the top two spots on the list, it appears that MediaTek has all-but bridged the gap in terms of raw performance with the Dimensity 9400 chipset. The Xiaomi 15 series did fall well short of the competition, suggesting less emphasis on cooling as compared to the other devices on the list.
The Vivo X200 mini also came up short as its smaller chassis leaves less room for cooling. Lastly, the iQOO Neo 9S Pro+ was the only phone to use the previous generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, falling nearly 900K short of the first place OnePlus 13. With the upcoming launch of the Realme GT 7 Pro and ASUS ROG Phone 9 series, the list of Snapdragon 8 Elite phones is only set to increase.
