OnePlus 15R Ace Edition Revealed In Electric Violet Ahead Of Launch

OnePlus has announced a new addition to its 15R lineup, introducing an Electric Violet colour option that will be sold through Amazon India and the company’s own website. The variant joins the existing Charcoal Black and Mint Green models and is positioned as the Ace Edition, a slight twist aimed at users who prefer a bit more visual flair.

The company plans to reveal the full device at a livestreamed launch event in Bengaluru on December 17.

A Finish Designed To Feel Different

The Electric Violet version uses a fiberglass back treated with a special coating, which embeds the word “Ace” into the pattern of the material. It gives the phone a textured identity without changing the core design language of the 15R. OnePlus says the finish is resistant to fingerprint smudges, though the company hasn’t shared more about long-term durability.

This colourway appears to be the main differentiator for now, with no changes announced to the frame or front design.

Hardware Details Shared Ahead Of Launch

OnePlus has confirmed that the 15R Ace Edition will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The 15R line as a whole is set to be the first globally available smartphone series powered by this chip, which gives the device a clear performance orientation.

The phone also includes a 7,400 mAh battery and the DetailMax Engine, a system the company introduced earlier with the OnePlus 15 to improve clarity in photos and videos. Beyond these details, OnePlus hasn’t revealed full hardware specifications yet, so display, charging and camera information will likely be held for the launch event.

Where And When It Will Be Available

The Ace Edition will be sold on Amazon India and OnePlus.in once the launch event concludes. Offline availability hasn’t been announced yet, and pricing remains undisclosed. Given how the R Series typically sits in OnePlus’s lineup, the 15R Ace Edition is likely to target users who want higher-end performance without stepping up to the main flagship tier.
