OnePlus 15R Launched in India with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, 7400mAh Battery, 165Hz AMOLED Display

OnePlus has officially unveiled a new smartphone today. The OnePlus 15R is the company's latest flagship killer and debuts in India sub-50K segment. Additionally, OnePlus also unveiled a 15R Ace Edition with gaming aesthetics.

The OnePlus 15R debuts as the first smartphone in India to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. Moreover, it also features a super-smooth OLED display, a massive silicon carbon battery with incredibly fast charging, a dual-camera setup, and the latest software.

OnePlus 15R Price in India

The OnePlus 15R price in India starts from ₹47,999 for the base 12GB/256GB model. It also comes in a 12GB/512GB configuration that will set you back ₹52,999. The OnePlus 15R comes in three shades in India: Charcoal Black, Mint Green, and Electric Violet.

The OnePlus 15R is now up for pre-booking on Amazon and the company's official website. The open sale is scheduled for December 22 at 12 PM IST. Customers who pre-book the phone can avail benefits worth up to ₹5,000, including a Nord 3 case worth ₹2,299 and up to six months of no-cost EMI options. As part of the launch offer, buyers can also get a ₹3,000 bank discount on Axis Bank and HDFC credit cards, bringing the starting price down to ₹44,999.

Customers who pre-book the higher 12GB + 512GB variant between December 17 and December 21 can avail an additional ₹2,000 bank discount by choosing the EMI option on select bank cards. This brings the effective price of the top-end variant down to ₹47,999, inclusive of a ₹3,000 instant discount and the ₹2,000 off on EMI transactions. After December 21, customers can continue to avail a ₹3,000 instant discount on select bank cards.

The offer is applicable only on pre-book redemptions made on December 21 across official channels, including OnePlus.in, the OnePlus Store App, Amazon.in, and offline retail partners such as OnePlus Experience Stores, Reliance Digital, Croma, Vijay Sales, Bajaj Electronics, and others.

OnePlus 15R Specifications

The OnePlus 15R is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X- Ultra RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The phone also features a touch response chip and a G2 Wi-Fi chip for uninterrupted gameplay. It also has a new and improved cooling system with a total surface area of 43940mm2 to keep the phone cool during intense gaming sessions.

The handset also sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The panel boasts a high brightness mode of 1,800 nits and supports Dolby Vision as well as HDR10+. The OnePlus 15R runs Android 16 out of the box with OxygenOS 16 on top.
For optics, the OnePlus 15R features a dual-camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX906 main camera with OIS support and an 8MP ultrawide lens. Up front, the handset opts for a 32MP selfie camera. The main camera can record 4K videos up to 120fps.

The OnePlus 15R also features an IP66/IP68/IP69 rating for resistance to dust and water. The OnePlus 15R also packs a massive 7,400 mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support and reserve wired charging. The handset also supports Bypass charging to ensure no overheating when charging while gaming.
