    Rumors of OnePlus 2 smartphone are buzzing around and the company is all set to launch its next flagship on July 28.

    The OnePlus 2 is one of the most awaited smartphones of the year considering that the company's previously launched OnePlus One changed the definition of a ‘budget' smartphone completely. Touted as the flagship killer, the phone was loaded with high-end specs but at a comparatively much lower price. The OnePlus 2 is also expected to be a beast in terms of specs and features.

    Many rumors suggests that the OnePlus 2 could have a premium metal build, 5.5 inch QHD display, a powerful Snapdragon 810 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and much more...     OnePlus 2 is likely to be more premium than the One, and thus it might feature a metal frame.

    However, the company CEO, Pete Lau, recently teased on Chinese social networking site, Weibo, that the upcoming smartphone will come with a full-metal design.


    According to the rumors, the next flagship is said to sport either 5.5 inch or a 5.7 inch display. However, it is more likely that the smartphone will come with the same screen size of the current smartphone.

    The current flagship OnePlus One smartphone comes with 64GB internal storage and there is no option to expand memory. However, it is expected that the OnePlus 2 will come in two storage models: one with 64GB and another with higher 128GB. We would love to see a microSD card slot to expand storage.

    The OnePlus One is loaded with a removable 3100mAh batter with a pretty good batter life. At the moment, flagship smartphones by major OEM, comes with non-removable battery which makes it difficult to replace the battery. However, the next flagship by OnePlus will also sports a removable batter with better life.

    The OnePlus 2 will be powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 810 chipset paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. Recently OnePlus stated in their forum that they are working closely working with Qualcomm's engineer to integrated an improved version of the chipset.

    We would like to see some improvements in the camera department of the next flagship. The phone is likely to flaunt a 16MP rear snapper coupled with a 5MP selfie camera. It is also expected that the smartphone will come with great optical image stabilization and a better camera app with more features.

    The UI on the OnePlus One is notably a special one as it used CyanogenMod, which looks quite close to stock Android and also comes with more customization options. While, the next flagship will be powered by company's own UI called OxygenOS based on Android Lollipop.

    The company has already revealed that the OnePlus 2 will feature USB type-C connectivity, which gives it an edge anyway. The USB type-C is an open standard, backward-compatible port which comes with significantly faster data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps, and offers higher power output than traditional USB chargers.

    It is highly speculated that the OnePlus 2 will features a fingerprint scanner placed in the home button. It is also rumored that the smartphone will be capable of storing five different prints to access the device by five different users profiles.

    This time, it is expected that the phone will be priced slightly higher than its predecessor, owning to the rumored better specs. However, according to some leaked information, the OnePlus 2 will be prices around $299 and $349 for 16GB and 32GB versions respectively.
