OnePlus 3, 3T Get Final Security Update Along With October Security Patch

OnePlus 3 and the 3T are receiving the final security update along with the October 2019 security patch. The company has offered 2-years of software updates, and an additional one-year of security patches to the phones. And with this, the software update of 3-years for both the devices also come to an end.

The update brings new Google Mobile services apps and offers general bug fixes and improvements. Furthermore, the new update adds the latest August 2019 security patch to both OnePlus 3/3T devices. The users can check for the latest update, by going to the settings section and then to the software update option.

Currently, the final update for both the devices is being rolled out in stages. The rollout for the phase one will only reach to a few smartphones. Finally, the update will roll out to entire phones, after the update is tested successfully without any bug. The entire OnePlus users will have to wait for some time for the generation of the download link for the update.

To recall, the OnePlus 3 was launched with a 5.50-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor, paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB in-built storage. It comes with a single rear and a single front camera. It is equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor at the rear. It was launched in graphite and Soft Gold color options.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 3T is powered by the Snapdragon 821 SoC, coupled with 6GB RAM and up to 128GB RAM. The handset houses a 3,400 mAh battery along with dash charging support. It has a Type-C port without any micro-USB support. It is available for purchase from Rs. 24,999 for 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM option. While its 6GB RAM/128GB ROM variant is priced at Rs. 34,999. Lastly, the handset comes in gunmetal, Soft Gold, and Midnight Black colors.
