OnePlus 6's first official image is out; have you checked it out yet?
Will OnePlus 6 be a stunner? Find it out yourself.
OnePlus 6, OnePlus's upcoming flagship, is one of the most anticipated smartphones at the moment. As the launch date creeps closer, more and more leaks centering the smartphone keep emerging online. Besides leaks, OnePlus has also dropped a few details about the smartphone.
The company has now taken to Twitter to release the first official image of the OnePlus 6. The post includes the image of the smartphone's rear panel and the caption, 'More immersion in a refined form factor. Are you ready for the #OnePlus6?' Since the image is out, OnePlus 6's launch seems imminent.
The image shows the vertically stacked dual rear camera setup, the circular fingerprint scanner, and the OnePlus branding. The left side of the OnePlus has the volume rockers and the signature slider button. You can also see the antenna lines running on the phone's top and bottom part.
From the looks of it, the OnePlus 6 will be aesthetically pleasing owing to its smooth finish. While this image doesn't show the front panel, we already know that the smartphone will sport an edge-to-edge display and a notch at the top similar to the iPhone X.
OnePlus has previously borrowed design from iPhones. So we are not really surprised that the company has decided to copy one of the distinguished features from Apple's latest flagship. Not only OnePlus, other OEMs like Huawei and LG have also followed suit.
It is also confirmed that the successor to OnePlus 5 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. While the smartphone will retain 8GB of RAM, it will offer 256GB of internal storage.
If previous reports are to be believed, the OnePlus 6 will run on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system right out of the box. The smartphone is also expected to get upgraded to Android P by the end of this year.
The dual rear setup camera on the smartphone is said to comprise of 20MP and 16MP sensors. For front camera, it is likely to make use of a 16MP sensor as well.
OnePlus hasn't announced the launch date of its next flagship, but a new leak claims the smartphone will be unveiled on May 5 at an event in China. As far as pricing is concerned, the OnePlus 6 is said to cost twice as much as the OnePlus 5T.
