OnePlus 9 And 10 Pro Users Face Motherboard Crashes: Report
OnePlus 10 Pro and 9 Pro owners have voiced concerns about their smartphones malfunctioning. Many users have reported issues with their devices' motherboards, leading to sudden shutdowns. These users claim that the OnePlus service center has asked for around Rs 42,000 for repairs.
The OnePlus Club shared screenshots of numerous complaints from affected users on X, highlighting multiple motherboard failures. These failures are causing unexpected shutdowns, affecting the usability of these devices.

Users Report High Repair Costs
A user on the OnePlus Community Forum mentioned that a service center quoted around Rs 42,000 to fix a dead motherboard in a OnePlus 10 Pro 5G, which is almost similar to its current pricing. The user also noted that the support team claimed the issue wasn't due to a software update and offered only a 10% discount on the repair cost.
After downloading a software update, one user shared that their phone began beeping and eventually froze. This incident was part of several similar complaints posted by OnePlus Club on X.
The post from OnePlus Club stated: "Recently so many OnePlus 9 and 10 series users have reported that their device's motherboard is getting dead and no support is being provided by OnePlus in this regard! It's really concerning that flagship users are facing these issues and they're left with no solution."
As of now, the brand has not commented anything on this, it remains to be seen how OnePlus will address this issue. Users are also demanding free repairs and extended warranties for their affected devices.
Previously, OnePlus had announced a lifetime display warranty for users impacted by green line issues on older smartphones. This move was aimed at addressing another significant problem faced by its customers.
The community continues to wait for an official response from OnePlus regarding the motherboard failures in their flagship devices.
