OnePlus Ace 6T Design Detailed Ahead of Next Month's Launch: Will Feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Chip

The OnePlus Ace 6T is set to be unveiled in China this month. It will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and a 165Hz screen. OnePlus has disclosed that the phone will be available in three colours: Flash Black, Phantom Green, and Electric Purple. The device will also boast a super-large battery with a capacity exceeding 8000 mAh.

The phone's design includes a smaller metal cube deco and a large flat screen with ultra-narrow bezels. A shortcut key will replace the traditional alert slider, and the phone will have a silk glass and fibreglass finish. The top of the device will feature a metal frame and an IR blaster.

Design and Build

Louis Jie, head of OnePlus China, explained the focus on weight balance, palm fit, and texture. "First, weight balance. Most phones, once fitted with an 8-series battery, tend to be top-heavy. We optimized the internal stacking to achieve a 50:50 golden weight distribution, ensuring a balanced feel whether playing games in landscape mode or watching videos in portrait mode."

The Ace 6T has a "micro-arc metal frame," offering a comfortable grip. The curve is described as visually sleek and pleasant to hold. The "Flash Black" and "Phantom Green" options continue the flagship silk glass process, which feels delicate and resists fingerprints.

Material Highlights

The standout "Electric Purple" version uses a fibreglass material similar to premium Android phones. This material has a refined process that provides a luxurious sheen, especially noticeable when light hits it from different angles.
