Despite its smaller size, the phone aims to compete with top Android devices in terms of performance and features. This move into the compact phone market appears strategic for OnePlus.

Focus on Different Audiences

OPPO and OnePlus, both under BBK Electronics, are expected to differentiate their compact flagships significantly. According to DCS, these phones will have distinct designs and chipsets, ensuring they don't directly compete internally. This strategy allows both brands to target different consumer segments effectively.

While OPPO's Find X8 Mini may use the Dimensity 9400 chipset like its larger counterparts, details about its specific configuration remain scarce. On the other hand, if OnePlus incorporates the Snapdragon 8 Elite into its compact flagship, it could support this theory of differentiation between the two brands.
