OnePlus Nord 5: Bigger Battery, Flagship-Lite Performance
The Nord 5 runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and sports a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,800 nits of peak brightness. The phone ships with Android 15 and OxygenOS 15, bringing along several AI features first seen in the OnePlus 13s.
It features a 50MP Sony LYT-700 main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide lens. On the front is another 50MP shooter, this time using Samsung’s ISOCELL JN5 sensor. Storage goes up to 512GB, and RAM tops out at 12GB.

A standout feature is the 6,800mAh battery, paired with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. Other hardware perks include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and IP65-rated water resistance. The phone weighs 211g and measures 8.1mm thick.
OnePlus Nord CE 5: Slightly Leaner, Still Capable
The Nord CE 5 may be more affordable, but it doesn’t skimp on core hardware. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chip, with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,400 nits peak brightness.
Camera duties are handled by a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide camera using an OmniVision sensor. The selfie camera drops to 16MP, using Sony’s IMX480.

Battery capacity climbs slightly to 7,100mAh, with the same 80W charging. The phone is slightly lighter at 199g, and retains the IR blaster, in-display fingerprint reader, and Android 15-based OxygenOS 15.
