OnePlus Nord 4 To Get Longer Software Support than Company's Flagship OnePlus 12

OnePlus is all set to unveil its much-anticipated Nord 4 at the brand's Summer launch event, taking place in Milan, Italy, on July 16. Following the launch, the phone will be available for purchase via Amazon and the brand's official site in the country, where a dedicated microsite has already gone live.

OnePlus has also been gradually revealing the specifications of the upcoming handset. Now, the brand has confirmed that the Nord 4 will receive 4 years of OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates. This means, the smartphone will be eligible for OS upgrades until 2028, while the security updates until 2030.

With this, the Nord 4 will be the first OnePlus phone eligible for six years of security updates. Even the company's flagship OnePlus 12 comes with only 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates.

OnePlus Nord 4 Features We Know So Far

The official teaser of the Nord 4 already confirmed that the phone will have a metal unibody design with a dual camera system placed separately at the top island of the rear panel.

Moreover, rumours suggested the upcoming OnePlus Nord phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. It will feature a 6.74-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone could pack a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging.

The OnePlus Nord 4 is also tipped to come with a starting price of Rs 27,999. However, it's better to take it with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for the official announcement on July 16.

As far as the launch is concerned, the Summer launch event is scheduled for July 16 at 9 AM EDT (6:30 PM IST), which can be live-streamed via the brand's official YouTube channel. In addition to the Nord 4, the brand will be launching the Pad 2 tablet, the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro and the Watch 2R at the same event.
