OnePlus Nord 5 Camera Specifications and Features Confirmed Ahead of Launch in India

The OnePlus Nord 5 series is making its debut in India next month. While OnePlus has been gradually teasing details about the upcoming Nord 5, the latest teaser gives us an in-depth look at the device's cameras.

OnePlus has now confirmed that the Nord 5 will feature a dual-camera setup on the back that includes a 50MP Sony LYT-700 primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 116° FOV. Up front, the Nord 5 will get an upgraded 50MP Samsung JN5 selfie camera with autofocus, which OnePlus is calling multi-focusing.

Moreover, the company has also confirmed that the OnePlus Nord 5 will be able to record 4K video at 60fps on both the front and rear cameras. The OnePlus Nord 5 enhances LivePhoto functionality with Ultra HDR support, capturing 3-second motion shots with stunning clarity and rendering cover photos in Ultra HDR quality.

The official Amazon listing for the Nord 5 reveals it will be powered by last generation's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. The phone will also feature a large 7,300mm2 VC cooling area for enhanced heat dissipation. The Nord 5 will also offer 144fps smooth gameplay in BGMI, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Garena Free Fire Max.

It is also expected to sport a 120Hz AMOLED display with HDR10+ support. The handset will also include the Plus Key that serves as a shortcut to access various AI features. Moreover, the OnePlus Nord 5 could pack a massive 6,700 mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support. It is also expected to come with dual-stereo speakers and an IP65 rating for basic water and dust resistance.

OnePlus Nord 5 Series Launch Date

The OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 are launching in India and globally on July 8, 2025. The launch event will take place at 02:00 pm IST and will be streamed live on OnePlus's official YouTube channel. The OnePlus Nord 5 series will be available for purchase in India through Amazon, following its launch.
