OnePlus Nord 5 India Price and Key Specs Leaked: Dimensity 9400e Chip, 7000mAh Battery, and More
OnePlus seems ready to extend its Nord series with a new midrange contender. The OnePlus Nord 5 has started making rounds in the rumor mill, possibly picking up where the Nord 4 left off. If reports are accurate, the new device may arrive at a familiar price point but with significantly upgraded internals.
The information stems from multiple tipsters and follows the same timeline seen with the Nord 4’s launch leaks last year. Here’s a roundup of what the OnePlus Nord 5 might bring to Indian consumers.

A Familiar Price Tag
According to tipster Debayan Roy, the OnePlus Nord 5 is expected to debut at around ₹30,000 in India. That’s roughly the same as the launch price of the Nord 4, which started at ₹29,999. The retail availability is also likely to mirror its predecessor — think Amazon and the official OnePlus online store.
The Nord 4 itself was a rebadged version of the OnePlus Ace 3V for the Indian market. This has led many to believe that the Nord 5 might follow suit, possibly being a localized version of the upcoming OnePlus Ace 5V. While that’s not confirmed yet, the pattern is hard to ignore.
Powering Up with MediaTek
One of the more intriguing details comes from the expected chipset. The OnePlus Nord 5 could be powered by the yet-to-be-launched MediaTek Dimensity 9400e, as tipped by Roy and Abhishek Yadav. This chip is believed to be a slightly binned variant of the full Dimensity 9400, with performance that may even exceed the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and Dimensity 9300+.
That’s a major upgrade from the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 found in the Nord 4, suggesting OnePlus might be positioning the Nord 5 as more than just an iterative refresh.
Display and Design
Visually, the Nord 5 may feature a flat AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Expect an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and a design that includes a glass back and a plastic frame — a departure from the metal unibody design used in the Nord 4.
Cameras That Cover the Basics
Camera specs are rumored to include a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies. These specs won’t wow photography enthusiasts but should offer dependable performance for daily use.
Big Battery, Fast Charging
The phone may house a massive 7,000mAh battery paired with 100W fast charging. That would make the Nord 5 particularly appealing to heavy users and mobile gamers.
Additional Features
Other expected features include a dual-speaker setup for stereo sound and an IR blaster — a somewhat rare but appreciated utility in smartphones these days.
