OnePlus, Nothing Realme, Redmi Smartphones Said to Get Price Hikes in India: Which Phones Will Be Impacted

Smartphone prices in India are on the rise, with major brands like OnePlus, Redmi, Nothing, and Realme reportedly increasing the cost of their mid-range and flagship devices. The price revision comes amid a global component shortage, particularly affecting DRAM and NAND storage, driven by the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure.

Why Are Smartphone Prices Increasing in 2026?

The surge in smartphone prices is largely linked to rising component costs. The growing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) has led major tech firms to procure large quantities of RAM and GPUs for data centres. This has created a supply crunch for essential smartphone components like memory and storage.

These Smartphones Are Expected to Get Price Hikes in India Soon

Additionally, RAM manufacturers are prioritising high-bandwidth memory (HBM) production to cater to AI workloads, further limiting supply for consumer electronics. As a result, smartphone brands are adjusting prices globally, with India seeing a noticeable impact.

OnePlus 15, OnePlus 15R Prices Increased in India

OnePlus 15 new price in India:

  • 12GB + 256GB: Rs. 77,999 (up from Rs. 72,999)
  • 16GB + 512GB: Rs. 85,999 (up from Rs. 79,999)

OnePlus 15R updated price:

  • 12GB + 256GB: Rs. 52,999 (up from Rs. 47,999)
  • 12GB + 512GB: Rs. 57,999 (up from Rs. 52,999)

Notably, this marks the second price hike for the OnePlus 15R in India.

Nothing Phone (4a), Phone (4a) Pro Price Hike

According to tipster reports, Nothing Phone (4a) Pro and Nothing Phone (4a) prices have also been revised:

  • Phone (4a) Pro: Rs. 44,999 (up from Rs. 39,999)
  • Phone (4a): Rs. 31,999 (unchanged for base variant)

Both devices were launched in India earlier this year, making this a relatively quick price adjustment.

Redmi Note 15 Pro Series Gets Costlier

Redmi Note 15 Pro+ new price:

  • Starts at Rs. 39,999 (up from Rs. 37,999)

Redmi Note 15 Pro updated price:

  • 8GB + 128GB: Rs. 31,999 (up from Rs. 29,999)

This aligns with Xiaomi's broader strategy of adjusting pricing amid rising production costs.

Realme 16 Pro Series Price Revision

Realme 16 Pro+ updated price:

  • 8GB + 128GB: Rs. 44,999 (up from Rs. 39,999)

Realme 16 Pro new starting price:

  • Rs. 36,999 (up from Rs. 31,999)

Both models have seen a Rs. 5,000 price hike, reflecting industry-wide cost pressures.

What This Means for Smartphone Buyers

The ongoing price hikes suggest that smartphones in India may continue to get more expensive in 2026, especially in the mid-range and premium segments. With AI-driven demand reshaping the semiconductor supply chain, buyers may need to adjust expectations around pricing or consider purchasing devices earlier in their lifecycle before further revisions occur.

For brands, maintaining competitive pricing while managing rising costs will be a key challenge in the months ahead.
