OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 to receive Android Marshmallow by early 2016
OnePlus has today announced that they too will be following the Marshmallow update suite. Apparently the company has posted their plans for pushing the update to its current portfolio of devices.
As per the company statement the OnePlus One users will be the first to receive the latest Android update. In fact the OnePlus One running on CyanogenMod will be receiving the update first. Cyanogen is already working on its next major version and it will be rolled on to the OnePlus One once they done with it. The Taiwanese company has given a Q1 2016 time frame for rolling out the update.

OnePlus will update the Oxygen OS of the OnePlus One soon after. Apparently that too is scheduled to roll out in the first quarter of next year. On the other hand the 2016 Flagship Killer aka the OnePlus 2 is also scheduled to receive the update alongside the OnePlus One. The OnePlus 2 sports a 5.5" Full HD LTPS display, 2.5GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 SoC and 3GB/4GB of RAM. There is a 13MP f/1.8 camera on the back coupled with a 5MP front facing selfie snapper. Furthermore there is Fingerprint Sensor upfront which fared rather well in our review.
Furthermore the OnePlus X will to receive the flavour of Marshmallow. However OnePlus hasn't detailed a time frame for rolling out the update. Nevertheless it is expected that OnePlus will start seeding the update by the Q2 2016.

Apparently the OnePlus X was launched earlier this month with last year's flagship specs and a premium design. The all glass smartphone sports a 5" Full HD AMOLED display and a Snapdragon 801 SoC with four cores clocked at 2.3GHz. There is also a 13MP f/2.2 rear camera and a 8MP front facing camera to take care of all your shooting needs. The Onyx and the Ceramic version of the device are priced at Rs 16,999 and Rs 22,999 respectively
