OnePlus is gearing up to launch its first foldable smartphone in India and globally later today. The OnePlus Open was first teased back in February during the OnePlus Cloud 11 launch event where it unveiled the OnePlus 11 5G among other devices.

OnePlus recently confirmed several aspects, including the design, of the OnePlus Open ahead of its launch. OnePlus also teased aspects of its foldable smartphone's display and the chipset of the device recently showed up on Geekbench.

OnePlus Open Pricing, Availability

According to past reports, the OnePlus Open price in India will likely start from Rs 1,39,999. Additionally, the OnePlus Open could go on sale in India as early as October 27.

OnePlus Open Specifications (Expected)

The OnePlus Open will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone will feature a large 4,800 mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging support. The OnePlus Open will run Android 13 with the OxygenOS skin on top.

The OnePlus Open is expected to feature two OLED displays. The foldable smartphone will feature a primary 7.8-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a cover 6.31-inch cover AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. OnePlus will likely use LTPO technology on its upcoming foldable smartphone.

For optics, the OnePlus Open gets a triple-camera setup on the back tuned by Hasselblad. The three cameras include a 48 MP primary sensor, a 48 MP ultrawide lens, and a 64 MP periscope shooter. The phone also features 20 MP and 32 MP selfie cameras. The phone will also feature the famed alert slider.

The OnePlus Open will also incorporate a 37% smaller hinge than the Oppo Find N2. The foldable will also use 31 fewer components, making it lighter. Additionally, the OnePlus Open will also feature an IP rating for water resistance. The upcoming OnePlus foldable smartphone has also gone through durability tests as well as twisting and drop tests.
