OnePlus Reportedly Testing New Performance-Focused Phone;1.5K LTPS Display and 8,000mAh Battery Tipped
OnePlus is reportedly working on a new mid-range, performance-focused smartphone. While there is no information about the moniker yet, some details related to its display have surfaced online. Here's what the new leak suggests about OnePlus' upcoming smartphone.
OnePlus Reportedly Testing New Phone
According to Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, the "Jiajia" factory is currently testing a 6.59-inch display featuring a 1.5K LTPS panel with a large rounded-corner design and a "visual four equal sides" layout.

In the comments section, a user asked whether the display was sourced from Samsung, to which the tipster replied that it is a domestic panel. Another user questioned whether a 6.78-inch display would be the ideal size to accommodate a 9,000mAh battery, suggesting that such a size might only allow for a battery capacity of around 7,500mAh.
Responding to this, the tipster noted that a medium-sized display can typically support battery capacities starting in the 8,000mAh range. Based on these hints and the discussion in the comments, the device could pack 8,000mAh battery and believed to be the OnePlus smartphone.
Earlier report also suggested that OnePlus is also testing a phone powered by the Dimensity 9500, currently in the engineering phase. While the moniker is still under wraps, it's tipped to come with a 6.78-inch flat OLED display, 1.5K resolution, and a 165Hz refresh rate.
The tipster also suggested OnePlus is testing a battery that starts with an "8", with internal targets pushing it toward a 9,000mAh-class capacity, similar to the Turbo 6 series. This phone is expected to be dubbed as the Ace 6 Ultra. Since there is no official information regarding this, we'd suggest our readers take this with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more details.
