OnePlus Smartphones to be Manufactured in India: 5 Facts You Should Know
The Chinese handset manufacturer, OnePlus marked its entry into the Indian market with its debut smartphone dubbed as One exclusively on Amazon India. This device was well received among both the masses and critics for its worth the money factor.
Following the success of OnePlus One, the company has launched its next smartphone mobile with the latest Snapdragon 810 processor and finger print sensor.

The company's main goal was to design a smartphone that would balance high-end quality with a lower price than other phones in its class, believing that users would "never settle" for the lower-quality devices produced by other companies.
Now, Carl Pei's company has joined the Indian goverments "Make in India" initiative at an event in Bangalore today.

With this mutual agreement, the OnePlus devices will be manufactured in India. Basically, the "Make in India" is an initiative of the Government of India to encourage Multinational and domestic companies to manufacture their products in India. It was launched by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

OnePlus's 'Make in India'
With this initiative, the OnePlus partners with Foxconn to manufacture smartphones in India. The local production will take place at Foxconn Rising Stars factory within the Sri City Integrated Business City in the state of Andhra Pradesh by the end of 2015.

The smartphone production will start before the end of this year at the 30,000 square feet facility.

This production facility can manufacture up to 500,000 handsets per month, which can generate employement of over 1,000 full time workers.

According to OnePlus, the first batch of its made in India handsets will be commercially available by the end of 2015.
