OnePlus Smartphones Will Now Be Available at JioMart Digital Stores Across India

OnePlus has announced a deepened collaboration with JioMart, a subsidiary of Reliance Retail, to extend the availability of OnePlus products across thousands of JioMart Digital stores throughout India.

Background Previously, OnePlus devices were primarily accessible via delivery through the JioMart app and website. However, the recent agreement signifies a strategic shift towards enhancing offline accessibility, particularly amidst challenges faced by OnePlus in the offline retail space.

Addressing Challenges OnePlus encountered a setback when the All India Mobile Retailers Association (AIMRA) declared a halt to selling OnePlus devices in their offline stores citing low profit margins and unresolved issues with the company. This move was scheduled to take effect from May 1, 2024. While OnePlus has remained silent regarding the specifics of its discord with AIMRA, the company has swiftly responded by strengthening ties with JioMart for offline sales.

Partnership Expansion With this collaboration, OnePlus products, including smartphones and TWS earbuds, will now be available at JioMart Digital stores, offering customers the opportunity to experience OnePlus devices firsthand before making a purchase. The move aligns with OnePlus' strategy to extend its offline footprint, particularly targeting tier 3 and tier 4 cities across India.

Continuing Online Presence The new partnership with JioMart Digital complements OnePlus' existing online distribution channels. The company will continue to sell its products via leading online platforms such as Amazon.in and OnePlus.in, maintaining its strong online presence in the Indian market.

Future Prospects OnePlus aims to leverage its enhanced partnership with JioMart Digital to deepen its penetration into India's burgeoning consumer base.
