Oppo A18 Announced: Budget Android Smartphone With 90Hz Display, Helio G85 SoC, And More

Oppo has launched the Oppo A18, an affordable Android smartphone belonging to the budget-friendly A series. The smartphone hasn't arrived in India yet but is expected to debut soon.

The Oppo A18 features a 6.65-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The 720p resolution screen has a peak brightness of 720 nits.

Oppo has embedded the octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC inside the Oppo A18, which is accompanied by the Mali G52 MC2 GPU. Buyers get 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The Oppo smartphone supports 4GB Virtual RAM expansion and a dedicated slot can accommodate a 1TB microSD card. The Helio G85 SoC is limited to 4G networks.

The Oppo A18 features a dual rear camera setup. There's an 8MP primary rear camera, which is accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor and an LED flash. There's a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies, video calls, and face unlock. Oppo has offered a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.

Oppo has announced the Oppo A18 for the UAE market. The smartphone will be available in Glowing Black and Glowing Blue color options.

Oppo hasn't indicated the retail price of the Oppo A18. Moreover, the company hasn't indicated if the smartphone will arrive in India. However, if the Oppo A18 lands in India, it could be priced below the ₹10,000 mark owing to its hardware specifications.
