OPPO has officially confirmed the launch date for the OPPO A2 Pro 5G, which has the company's Battery Health Engine and four-year warranty.

OPPO A2 Pro 5G Launching On September 15, 2023

Oppo has released a poster on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, announcing the arrival of the OPPO A2 Pro 5G. The midrange smartphone will officially launch tomorrow, September 15, 2023.

OPPO is currently restricting the availability of the A2 Pro to China. However, multiple OPPO midrange Android smartphones have been launched in India. Hence, this smartphone should launch outside China in the near future.

The OPPO A2 Pro 5G will be available in Vast Black, Desert Brown, and Dusk Cloud Purple color options. Buyers should be able to get 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of internal storage.

OPPO hasn't confirmed the retail pricing of the OPPO A2 Pro 5G. Moreover, the brand may offer the smartphone as part of a cellphone contract with China Telecom company.

OPPO has been promoting its Battery Health Engine which claims to ensure longevity and endurance of the smartphone's non-removable battery. In fact, the company guarantees the battery inside the A2 Pro 5G will hold more than 80 percent of its original capacity even after 4 years of regular usage.

In case the battery's actual degradation exceeds OPPO's claims, the company is committed to replacing it at no cost to the user for a period of four years. This guarantee, however, is limited to the Chinese customers who pre-book the smartphone between Sept. 15 and Oct. 8.

The OPPO A2 Pro 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The OPPO smartphone has an under-display fingerprint scanner and houses a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies, video calls, and face unlock.

OPPO has embedded a 5,000mAh battery inside the A2 Pro 5G, which supports 67W wired fast charging. The smartphone ships with a charger in the retail box. The smartphone will boot ColorOS 13.1-based Android 13.
