Oppo A38 budget smartphone launched in India: Check Price, Specs, Offers

Oppo has unveiled a new budget smartphone in its A series in India. The Oppo A38 debuts as an affordable 4G handset that arrives in the country's sub-13K segment.

The Oppo A38 features a MediaTek chipset, a high-refresh-rate display, a large battery with fast charging, and a dual-camera setup. Here's everything you need to know about the Oppo A38's pricing and specifications.

Oppo A38 Pricing, Offers in India

The Oppo A38 price in India is set at Rs 12,999 for the sole 4GB/128GB model. Customers can avail an instant discount of Rs 1,300 on the purchase of the A38 though Oppo's official website using cards from several major banks.

The Oppo A38 is currently available for pre-order via on Oppo's official website. The phone will start shipping on September 13 and could be available on Flipkart at around the same time. The Oppo A38 is offered in Glowing Black and Glowing Gold colour options.

Oppo A38 Specifications

The Oppo A38 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The phone also comes with 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage that is expandable via a microSD card (up to 1TB). The device runs Android 13-based ColorOS 13.1 on top.

The Oppo A38 sports a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a with a peak brightness of 720 nits and a 90Hz refresh rate. For optics, the A38 gets a dual-camera setup with a 50 MP primary sensor and a secondary 2 MP portrait lens.

Up front, the Oppo A38 opts for a 5 MP selfie camera. Oppo's budget smartphone packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging support. Oppo is also promising 36 months of fluent performance with the A38.

The Oppo A38 also boasts a side-mounted fingerprint reader and an IP4X rating for resistance to splashes. Connectivity options on the Oppo A38 include GPS, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C port, and more.
