Oppo A5 2020 Gets Permanent Price Cut Within A Month Of Its Launch

Oppo launched the A9 2020 and the A5 2020 last month in India and both the smartphones have already gone up for sale. The latter has just received a permanent price cut ahead of Diwali. The key highlight of this device includes a quad-rear camera module under Rs. 15,000. Following are the details on the new pricing:

Oppo A5 2020 Permanent Price Cut Details

The Oppo A5 2020 was launched with 3GB RAM+ 64GB storage and 4GB RAM+ 64GB storage priced at Rs. 12,490 and Rs. 13,990 respectively. Now, the company has axed the pricing of base variants by Rs. 500 permanently.

Following the discount, the Oppo A3 with 3GB RAM can be purchased at Rs. 11,990. You can select from Mirror Black and Dazzling White colors. This price cut is applicable online on Amazon as well as offline stores. It is worth noting that the 4GB RAM model is still retailing at its original Rs. 13,990 price tag.

Oppo A5 2020 Primary Features

The Oppo A5 2020 sports a quad-camera module at the rear that comprises of a 12MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 sensor. Other sensors include an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.25 aperture, a 2MP macro-sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.

There is an 8MP camera for selfies and video calling tucked inside the waterdrop notch. The Oppo A5 2020 offers a 6.5-inch LCD display with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution and the Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection.

Powering the device is an octa-core Snapdragon 665 chipset which is accompanied by Adreno 610 GPU, up to 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage (up to 256GB). It comes pre-loaded with Android Pie OS topped with a Color OS 6.0.1 UI.

Additional features include Dolby Atmos support, a fingerprint scanner at the rear, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a microUSB port, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The device packs a 5,000 mAh battery, but doesn't offer a fast charging technology.
