After having cleared TENAA earlier this month Oppo A53 was finally unveiled in China. Apparently the Oppo A53 is now listed on the company's Chinese website.
The Oppo A53 is a mid-range handset from the company. As a matter of fact Oppo has been on a launch spree off-late when it comes to mid-range smartphones. The major distinguishing factor of the Oppo A53 from its other mid-range counterparts lies in the metal body and 2.5D curved glass front. The A53 is quite a looker and appears rather similar to the flagship Oppo R7 Lite.
In terms of specs the Oppo A53 sports a 5.5 inch HD (1280x720p) display, 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP Selfie Snapper. It is powered by the latest gen Snapdragon 616 SoC (1.5GHz x 8 A53 cores) and 2GB of RAM. The Oppo A53 further comes with 16GB of onboard storage and runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 with the company's Color OS 2.1 on top. There is also option for memory expansion upto 128GB.
The Dual SIM handset comes with a 3075mAh battery which is expected to last through a day of heavy to moderate usage. The smartphone also comes with Oppo's VOCC fast charging capabilities. Connectivity features of the Oppo A53 includes Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, WiFi b/g/n and 4G LTE support.
As of now the pricing information and the launch date of the Oppo A53 isn't known. However Oppo is expected to host an official event to launch the device soon. The availability of the device in international markets though is still not clear.
