OPPO A5x 5G with MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, 120Hz Display, 6000 mAh Battery Launched in India

OPPO has introduced the A5x 5G smartphone in India, succeeding last year's A3x 5G model. This new device features a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness. The phone is designed to withstand harsh conditions, boasting MIL-STD-810H certification for durability against extreme heat, moisture, and shock.

The A5x 5G is equipped with a Dimensity 6300 SoC and includes 4GB of RAM. It has a front camera of 5MP and an improved rear camera of 32MP. The device measures just 7.99mm in thickness and houses a substantial 6000mAh battery. This battery supports fast charging with a 45W SuperVOOC charger included in the package.

Durability and Design

OPPO's latest offering comes with IP65 ratings for dust and water resistance, an upgrade from its predecessor's IP54 rating. The phone features a robust design with a 360° Armour Body that incorporates flagship-grade reinforced glass, providing impact resistance that is 160% higher than the previous model. Additionally, it includes a proprietary high-strength alloy frame.

The OPPO A5x 5G offers impressive battery longevity, retaining over 80% capacity after approximately 1,700 charge cycles. This ensures consistent performance for up to five years with regular use. Charging efficiency is notable as well; the device can reach up to 30% charge in just 21 minutes and fully charge in one hour and twenty-four minutes.

The smartphone runs on Android 15 paired with Color OS 15, offering users an intuitive interface. It supports expandable memory up to 1TB via microSD card, complementing its built-in storage of 128GB UFS 2.2. Connectivity options include dual-mode 5G (NA/NSA), Dual VoLTE support, Wi-Fi ac (both bands), Bluetooth version 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C.

For security purposes, the phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Its dimensions are compact at approximately 165.71×76.24×7.99mm with a weight of around 193 grams.

The OPPO A5x 5G comes in two colour variants: Midnight Blue and Laser White. These colours are inspired by natural elements like moonlight on water and futuristic laser spectra respectively. Priced at Rs.13,999 for the single variant (4GB+128GB), it will be available from May 25th through Amazon, Flipkart, OPPO Store, and other retail outlets.
