OPPO A7 Pro Launched With 8,000mAh Battery, MediaTek Dimensity 6360 MAX, 120Hz AMOLED Display, IP69K Rating

OPPO has expanded its A-series smartphone lineup in China with the launch of the OPPO A7 Pro. The new mid-range 5G smartphone focuses heavily on battery life and durability, packing a massive 8,000mAh battery, multiple IP ratings, and a 120Hz AMOLED display.

Rather than competing purely on camera hardware, the OPPO A7 Pro is aimed at users looking for a smartphone that can handle demanding everyday use. The handset also gets a MediaTek Dimensity chipset, fast charging, and the latest ColorOS software.

OPPO A7 Pro Price and Availability

The OPPO A7 Pro is currently available in China, with prices starting at 2,199 yuan (roughly Rs. 31,400) for the 6GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.

The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at 2,499 yuan (roughly Rs. 35,700). OPPO is offering the smartphone in Riding the Waves Blue, Blooming Steps Pink, and Desert Brown colour options.

There is currently no word on the OPPO A7 Pro's India launch or global availability. If the smartphone does arrive in India, its pricing and specifications could differ from the Chinese version.

OPPO A7 Pro Specifications and Features

The biggest highlight of the OPPO A7 Pro is its 8,000mAh battery, which should offer impressive endurance for users who spend long hours away from a charger. The handset also supports 45W wired fast charging via USB Type-C.

Durability is another major focus. OPPO claims the A7 Pro carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, along with MIL-STD-810H certification. This means the phone is designed to offer protection against dust, water immersion, and even high-pressure water jets.

Despite the large battery, the OPPO A7 Pro measures 8.8mm thick and weighs 205 grams. It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone sports a 6.57-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,400 nits of peak brightness. Other display features include 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage and up to 2,160Hz PWM dimming.

Under the hood, the OPPO A7 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 MAX chipset, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The phone runs Android 16-based ColorOS 16.0 in China.

For optics, the OPPO A7 Pro gets a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie camera. Other features include stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, GPS, dual-SIM 5G connectivity, and USB Type-C.
