Oppo A71 with 13MP camera, 3GB RAM receives a price cut of Rs. 3,000 in India

Oppo A71 smartphone has received a price cut of Rs 3,000, as claimed by Mahesh Telecom, a mobile phone retailer based in Mumbai. The retailer announced about the price cut on both its Facebook and Twitter account. While we are yet to get an official confirmation from Oppo on this matter, the retailer has usually been correct with previous leaks.

Oppo A71 was launched in India in September last year at Rs. 12,990. After receiving the price cut, the smartphone will be available at just Rs. 9,990. That said, at this moment, the smartphone is still retailing at its original price of Rs. 11,900 on both Flipkart and Amazon India. So we presume that the e-commerce platforms have not been notified about the price drop yet.

While we await for an official confirmation about the price cut, let's recall the specs and features of the Oppo A71.

Design and Display

Oppo A71 features a metal unibody design with slightly rounded edges. The smartphone is fitted with a 5.2-inch TFT display that delivers a HD resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The display is said to offer a larger view and better perspective while watching videos and playing games.

Innards

Oppo A71 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750T clocked at 1.5GHz and it is also coupled with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. The smartphone packs 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 256GB using the dedicated microSD card slot.

The smartphone draws its energy from a standard 3000mAh battery, which works fine give its rather small display.

Cameras, Software and Connectivity

On the optics front, the Oppo A71 features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, Multi-Frame De-noising filter, and LED Flash.

Up front, there is a 5MP selfie snapper with an aperture size of f/2.4. The front camera has also been tweaked to take good quality images in low-light conditions and a variety of filters that come with the phone enhance the playability of the phone's camera.

The smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with Color OS 3.1 skin on top. The Oppo A71 comes with a lot of customization capabilities.

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers dual-SIM support, 4G, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. While Sensors onboard include distance sensor, light sensor, G-sensor, and E-compass. There are color variants of the Oppo A71; Black and Gold.
