The Oppo A71 (2018) recent went official in Pakistan. The smartphone is listed on Oppo's website in the country. The company has not revealed when will the smartphone make its way to other markets. However, a new report by PhoneRadar suggests the Oppo A71 (2018) will soon arrive in India but with a different moniker. The smartphone will be launched as Oppo A71s in Black and Gold color variants.
According to the report, the smartphone will have some changes in specifications and it is expected to be priced around Rs. 9,990. The Oppo A71s will come with a 5.2-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display with an HD resolution of 1,920×720 pixels. Instead of featuring the trending 18:9 display, this smartphone will stick to the display with an aspect ratio of 16:9.
Under the hood, the Oppo A71s will be powered by a octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor. The smartphone will offer 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage space is further expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.
The Oppo A71s will be backed up by a standard 3,000mAh battery. The smartphone will also feature OTG function so it can be used to charge other devices as well.
In the camera department, the smartphone will sport a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. For selfie camera, the Oppo A71s will make use of a 5MP image sensor with an aperture size of f/2.4.
The selfie camera will be equipped with Oppo's AI Beauty Recognition technology, which offers suitable beauty effects depending on the user's face. Other than that, the rear camera of the smartphone will feature Multi-Frame Denoising Technology and Ultra HD Technology, which will allow users to capture images in up to 32MP resolution.
As the smartphone won't feature a fingerprint scanner, it might include Face Unlock technology.
In terms of software, the handset will arrive pre-installed with Android 7.1 Nougat with custom ColorOS 3.2 on top. Connectivity features onboard will include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
While PhoneRadar does say that the Oppo A71s will launch in India soon, it doesn't give any specific date. That said, we expect the smartphone to get announced later this month, probably before MWC 2018 starts.
