OPPO ColorOS 15 Announced with Refreshed Design, AI Enhancements, and More: Check List of Eligible Devices

Oppo has unveiled ColorOS 15, its latest Android 15-based interface, ahead of the Find X8 series launch. This new version introduces a refreshed design with updated icons and dynamic lighting effects. The interface incorporates natural light and shadow elements throughout, enhancing the overall user experience.

Enhanced User Interface and Performance

ColorOS 15 features the Aurora and Tidal Engine, which enables system-level rendering. This allows app animations to run concurrently, ensuring smooth transitions when switching between applications.

The system's motion effects are consistently fluid, contributing to an 18% boost in app responsiveness and a 26% faster app installation process. Additionally, dynamic cache allocation manages resources in real time for seamless operation.

AI Integration and Features

Artificial intelligence is integral to ColorOS 15. Oppo's XiaoBu Assistant can be accessed on any screen, facilitating natural conversations with context-aware queries. A "circle to search" feature is also available on all screens.

AI enhancements extend to image processing, offering one-touch removal of people and reflections, blur reduction in portraits, and intelligent image upscaling. Live Photos now include electronic image stabilization (EIS).

Improved Notification, Control Center, and AI Tools

In response to user feedback, Oppo has separated the notification shade from the control center in ColorOS 15. This change aims to improve usability by providing distinct areas for notifications and quick settings adjustments.

The notes app benefits from AI capabilities that format and summarise content efficiently. A new document scanning feature offers embedded summarisation and language translation options. The voice recorder can transcribe recordings while providing summaries for easier review.

ColorOS 15 List of Eligible Devices

ColorOS 15 will be pre-installed on the upcoming Oppo Find X8 series and OnePlus 13 devices in China. Existing models like the Find X7-series, Find N3, Find N3 Flip, and OnePlus Ace 3 series are scheduled to receive the update starting in November.
