OPPO ColorOS 15 India Rollout Announced: Here's When Your OPPO Phone will Receive the Android 15 Update

Oppo's latest operating system, ColorOS 15, was introduced globally last month. The company has now shared the timeline for its release in India, which aligns with the global schedule. Oppo Find N3 and Find N3 Flip are the first devices in India to receive this update. This new OS brings Android 15 to Oppo smartphones, enhancing visual elements with improved textures, animations, and themes.

ColorOS 15 introduces a revamped user interface and new Flux themes. These allow users to personalise their home and lock screens with various layouts, effects, themes, and wallpapers. The update also enhances dynamic motion effects for charging, fingerprint authentication, and other daily actions.

ColorOS 15 Release Timeline

The rollout of ColorOS 15 began last month with the Oppo Find N3, Find N3 Flip, and Reno 11 Pro. Additionally, it is pre-installed on the new Find X8 series, which includes the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro models. The complete release schedule for compatible models is as follows:

AI Features in ColorOS Update

A significant aspect of ColorOS 15 is its array of AI features. The AI Clarity Enhancer can upscale low-resolution images to high-definition quality. Other features include AI Unblur for removing blur from photos and AI Eraser for eliminating unwanted objects. Users can also benefit from AI Best Face and AI Clear Face for facial enhancements.

The update incorporates a Trinity Engine that optimises CPU and system performance through smart caching. According to Oppo's claims, this engine enhances overall system smoothness by up to twenty-two percent while extending battery life by approximately twelve minutes.

The ColorOS update also includes an AI Studio suite that adds artistic styles and textures to photos. These features aim to provide users with more creative control over their images. This comprehensive update aims to enhance user experience across various aspects of smartphone usage.
