OPPO ColorOS 16 July Update: New Camera Filters, Security, And Personalization Features Announced
OPPO India has started rolling out the ColorOS 16 July update for its eligible smartphones. This software release focuses on user personalisation, camera upgrades, and system performance. Indian users can expect a smoother overall interface alongside tailored security features.
Among the major visual changes is the new customisation for fingerprint unlocking. Users can now mix and match different animation styles and icon designs. Additionally, the update introduces a Contact Poster preview function. This allows individuals to customise and preview how they appear to others during phone calls.

Enhanced Camera and Security Options
Mobile photography enthusiasts receive two new camera filters named Primrose and Bold B&W. These options aim to enhance portrait shots and monochrome photography. On the security front, the update adds a backup face profile. This secondary profile helps when wearing glasses, making facial recognition far more versatile.
System responsiveness also receives a notable boost in this release. ColorOS 16 delivers smoother transition animations when navigating between active applications. Users will experience faster launching speeds and seamless fluidity when opening the Recent Tasks screen. Furthermore, general stability fixes successfully resolve minor bugs across the operating system.
Eligible OPPO Devices
The software upgrade is arriving in stages for diverse devices. Several premium Find and Reno model series are eligible for this new experience. The phased rollout ensures a stable deployment process across different devices.
