OPPO F23 5G India Launch Confirmed for May 15, Design and Details Revealed

A new mid-range smartphone, the OPPO F23 5G, has been confirmed for launch on May 15. This new handset in the F series will be the successor of the F21s Pro series. Ahead of the launch that was officially confirmed by the company, the design of the smartphone was revealed too, along with some specifications of the phone.

A flat frame design, coupled with a triple camera setup at the back, the phone is expected to have several upgrades from its predecessor. Let's take a closer look at the specifications of the OPPO F23 5G.

OPPO F23 5G: Design and Cameras

The launch event for the mid-range smartphone is slated to be held on May 15.

A pill-shaped module at the back hosts the cameras of the phone. These include a 64MP main camera, and two 2MP sensors for depth and micro-lens, as well as an LED flash. The top part of the pill shape hosts the main sensor, the bottom part has the two other sensors and the flash. On the front, a hole-punch cutout hosts the selfie camera of the phone. The front camera will boast of a 32MP resolution.

The left edge has the volume button while the right edge has the power button.

When it comes to display, the phone will feature a 120Hz display. Although not officially confirmed yet, the phone is expected to come with a 6.72-inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution.

OPPO F23 5G: Specifications and Details

The OPPO F23 5G also packs in a 5000mAh battery which supports 67W fast charging. It'll be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC.

The company confirmed that the smartphone will launch with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

According to the event microsite, the phone will also guarantee four years of "lag-free experience". The website also confirms that this smartphone will be a rebadged version of the OPPO A98 5G, which was launched in Malaysia today.

The price, availability and sale details haven't been confirmed yet and are expected to be revealed on May 15.
