Oppo F23 Pro 5G to Launch in India on May 15: Report

Oppo is readying its latest F-series smartphone, the Oppo F23 Pro 5G, according to the latest report. The device is expected to debut in India next month, and will arrive as a mid-range handset.

To recall, Oppo's most recent F-series phone was the Oppo F21s Pro, which launched back in September 2022. Here's everything we know about the latest Oppo F23 Pro 5G.

According to a 91mobiles report, which cites tipster Mukul Sharma, the upcoming Oppo F23 Pro 5G will sport a 6.72-inch display with a peak brightness of 580 nits. The smartphone will reportedly not get an AMOLED panel, it could get an LCD screen instead.

As for the processor, the F23 Pro will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC. The smartphone could feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. The report suggests that the phone could get SuperVOOC charging.

Moving on to imaging, the Oppo F23 Pro 5G is said to feature a triple camera setup at the rear. It will comprise a 64MP main camera, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.

The camera setup for the Oppo F23 Pro will include a 40x microscope lens as well. At the front, there will be a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Past reports indicated that the Oppo F23 will launch in India in March. As April almost draws to a close, the smartphone is still nowhere to be seen. While there's still no info about the base model, reports suggest that the Oppo F23 Pro 5G will debut in India on May 15, 2023.

As for the pricing, the F23 Pro is expected to be a mid-range smartphone. The handset will likely cost between ₹25,000 and ₹26,000 in India. There are rumors about another version as well, but the details of the mystery device are still under wraps.
