Oppo F5, the first-of-its-kind selfie-centric smartphone was launched in India back in November 2017. Now, it looks like the company is all set to come up with a new variant of the device called Sidharth Limited Edition. For now, there is no information on how much it would cost but it looks like the device will be will be launched tomorrow.
Going by a teaser that has been posted by the company on its official Twitter page, it looks like the Oppo F5 Sidharth Limited Edition will be launched tomorrow that is February 3 as the teaser says one more day to go. Already, the Oppo F5 is available in two variants - one with 4GB RAM costing Rs. 19,990 and the other with 6GB RAM priced at Rs. 24,990.
Until now, the Oppo F5 was available in three color variants - black, gold and red. From the teasers on the Oppo India Twitter handle, we get to know that the Sidharth Limited Edition will be available in blue color. Apart from the blue paint job, it looks like there will be no change in terms of specifications and features.
The USP of the Oppo F5 is the presence of the 20MP selfie camera with support for Artificial Intelligence. The company claims that the AI technology embedded into the selfie camera can examine every angle of the subject's face to render a refined and natural selfie shot that is picture perfect. Oppo claims that the selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture can adjust the lighting as per the background. It is also said that the camera can identify a subject based on the skin tone, skin color, age and gender to render a perfect output.
To refresh its specs, the Oppo F5 bestows a 6-inch FHD+ display with 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. At its heart, there operates an octa-core MediaTek MT6763T processor. The rear camera module comprises of a 16MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. The other goodies on board the Oppo F5 include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, dual SIM support, Android 7.1 Nougat OS based on ColorOS 3.2, Face Unlock facial recognition feature and a 3200mAh battery.
