OPPO Find N5 Launch Confirmed: Could Debut as First Snapdragon 8 Elite Foldable Smartphone

OPPO is gearing up to unveil a new foldable smartphone soon. The OPPO Find N5 was recently teased by company product head Zhou Yibao. The OPPO Find N5 will succeed OPPO's Find N3, which was unveiled back in 2023.

Zhou Yibao recently uploaded a post on Weibo teasing aspects of the OPPO Find N5. The post read, "Good morning Monday, what are the most anticipated upgrades for the new generation of foldables?"

OPPO Find N5: What to Expect?

Users could then select the features they were looking forward to the most on the upcoming Find N5, including Latest Flagship Chip, Wireless Charging Support, Longer Battery Life, etc. Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station also leaked details about OPPO's upcoming foldable.

The tipster claims that the OPPO Find N5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The phone is also tipped to support wireless charging. It will run on Android 15 with the ColorOS 15 skin on top. The OPPO Find N5 is also expected to feature a triple-camera setup.

The phone will use a 50MP primary sensor, an ultrawide lens, and a 50MP periscope-telephoto shooter. The OPPO Find N5 is also expected to be thinner and lighter than the Find N3. Other aspects teased were an IPX8 rating for resistance to water and a more durable construction.

OPPO Find N5 Launch Timeline

As of now, there is no official launch date for the Find N5 in China, although the foldable is expected to debut in Q1 2025. It could also debut as the world's first foldable smartphone to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. There is no information on whether the OPPO Find N5 will be available outside China. However, the OPPO Find N5 could be rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2 for Indian and global markets.
