Oppo Find X2 With Snapdragon 865 To Debut in Q1 2020: Report
Oppo has likely started working on the successor of its flagship Find X smartphone, launched back in 2018. The company has revealed that it plans to bring the Find X2 next year. The device is said to bring some major upgrades over its predecessor featuring latest flagship hardware.
Oppo Find X2 Launch Details
The Oppo Find X2 is said to make a debut in the Q1 of 2020. The company revealed its plan at the Oppo Inno Day 2019 held in Shenzen, China. Oppo has joined hands with Sony to equip a new image sensor with a larger size.
It is expected to offer better light sensitivity and improved focus. A report from XDA developers suggests that this will be a 2 x 2 On-Chip Lens Solution from Sony that will feature an "All Pixel Omni-directional PDAF: technology."
Besides, the device is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor, which Samsung is also expected to use on its flagship Galaxy S11 series. As of now, there is no other detail available on the processor, RAM, or storage. Also, it remains to be seen if the Oppo Find X2 packs a chipset with an integrated 5G modem.
While the display size and resolution of the Find X2 is undisclosed, it is said to come with an improved display with a 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate. The information related to the Find X2 hardware is scarce; however, we expect some more details to be available in the coming days.
As for the Find X, the device was launched with an octa-core Snapdragon 845 processor combined with an Adreno 630 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage. It flaunts a 6.42-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 pixels FHD+ resolution and the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection.
The device is equipped with a dual-rear camera setup housing a 16MP primary sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and a 20MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. For selfies and video calling, it offers a 25MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The unit gets its fuel from a 3,730 mAh battery with a VOOC flash charge.
