Oppo Find X7 Ultra Launched with First Dual-Periscope Cameras, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC

Oppo has officially unveiled its first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 smartphone in China. The Oppo Find X7 Ultra puts a major emphasis on camera performance, debuting as the first smartphone with dual-periscope telephoto cameras.

It is also the first smartphone to feature the 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor. Oppo has also collaborated with Swedish company Hasselblad for the camera system on the Find X7 Ultra.

The Oppo Find X7 Ultra price in China starts from CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs 70,200) for the base 12GB/256GB variant. Moreover, the phone also comes in 16GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB configurations that cost CNY 6,499 (roughly Rs 76,000) and CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs 81,850), respectively.

The Oppo Find X7 Ultra comes in The Rhyme of Pine Shadows (Black), Silver Moon in the Desert (Orangish-brown), and The Vast Sea and Sky (Blue) color options. The back of the Oppo Find X7 Ultra features a two-tone finish with the combination of vegan leather and glass materials utilized.

Oppo Find X7 Ultra Specifications

The Oppo Find X7 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The handset packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 65W wireless charging support. It runs Android 14-based ColorOS 14.0 out of the box.

The Oppo Find X7 Ultra sports a 6.82-inch QHD+ (3168 × 1440 pixels) LTPO OLED display with a pixel density of 510 PPI. The screen boasts an adaptive refresh rate between 1Hz - 120Hz and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display boasts a peak brightness of 4,500 nitsas well as Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. It also has a DisplayMate A+ rating.

Oppo Find X7 Ultra Cameras

At the helm of the Find X7 Ultra's quad-camera setup sits a 50 MP 1-inch Sony LYT-900 stacked sensor with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture. The main camera is accompanied by a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 ultrawide camera sensor with a 14 mm equivalent focal length. The ultrawide lens can also take macro shots.

Lastly, there are a 50 MP Sony IMX890 periscope lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS support and a 50 MP Sony IMX858 periscope camera sensor with 6x optical zoom and OIS. Oppo claims that its quad-camera system can offer smooth transitioning between 14 mm and 270 mm without any degradation in image quality.

The camera system also has an advanced Pro model called 'Master Mode', which has been co-developed with Hasselblad. A new HyperTone engine also promises to keep photos looking natural while maintaining excellent quality. Up front, the Oppo Find X7 Ultra opts for a 32 MP selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture. As of now, there is no word on international availability of the Oppo Find X7 Ultra.
